MIAN CHANNU – A woman was critically injured after being tortured and attacked with acid for demanding money from husband to fulfil her domestic needs here on Tuesday.
Police said that Noreen Bibi hailing from village 111/15 of MianChannu demanded her husband Shahbaz to give him some money to fulfil the domestic expenditures and her personal needs, which infuriated the accused.
On this the key accused Shahbaz along with his younger brother Yaqoob brutally tortured his wife, breaking his arm and later threw acid on her due to which she was badly scorched.
The injured lady was shifted to THQ Hospital, where she was referred to Nishtar Hospital Multan due to her critical condition. The police after registering a case against key accused Shahbaz and his cohort started raids for their arrest.
